TCD is a multi-function protection device for oil-immersed sub- station and pad-mounted distribution transformers. Both over- pressure and oil leakage are monitored by a pressure sensor and a float. Should either safety threshold be exceeded, the protection fuses will operate de-energizing the transformer avoiding catastrophic failure.
